
TAMPA, Fla., Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Thomas Jones ran for two touchdowns and Jay Feely kicked four field goals for the New York Jets Sunday in a 26-3 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The victory left the Jets (7-6) in the thick of the AFC wild card picture with the same record as Baltimore, Miami and Jacksonville, all just behind Denver (8-5).
Miami topped Jacksonville 14-10, Baltimore clubbed Detroit 48-3 and Denver fell 28-16 at Indianapolis.
Jones's touchdown runs were from 33 and 7 yards and Feely's field goals from 40, 24, 49 and 49 yards.
Connor Barth kicked a 43-yard field goal for Tampa Bay (1-12).
Kellen Clemens, playing at quarterback for the injured Mark Sanchez, completed 12-of-23 passes for 111 yards for the Jets.
The Bucs' Josh Freeman was 14-for-33 passing for 93 yards and three interceptions.
