
SALT LAKE CITY, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- The Utah Jazz downed the Los Angeles Lakers 102-94 Saturday to end the Lakers' winning streak at 11 games.
Deron Williams scored 21 points and added 11 assists and Wesley Matthews and Ronnie Brewer each scored 19 in Utah's second consecutive win.
Kobe Bryant played with a fractured right index finger, but shot 7-of-24 for a modest 16 points. He made only one of his nine 3-point shots.
Pau Gasol and Ron Artest each scored 16 for Los Angeles. Derek Fisher added 16.
The Jazz took control in the second quarter with a 17-8 run highlighted by a pair of buckets by Matthews and five points by C.J. Miles. Utah led 59-53 at halftime and continued to surge by scoring 10 of the first 14 points recorded in the third quarter.
. Utah went ahead by 17 early in the fourth quarter and was able to hold off the Lakers, who shot 46.2 percent as a team.
