CLEVELAND, Dec. 11 (UPI) -- Chris Jennings scored the game's only touchdown to give Cleveland a 13-0 lead in the second quarter Thursday and the Browns held on to stun Pittsburgh 13-6.

Cleveland survived temperatures in the teens to win for just the second time this year. The Steelers lost their fifth straight and find themselves in danger of missing the playoffs the year after they won the Super Bowl.

After Phil Dawson had kicked a 29-year field goal in each of the first two quarters, Brady Quinn led Cleveland on a 74-yard drive in eight plays late in the second period. Jennings finished off the march with a 10-yard run 41 seconds before halftime.

Pittsburgh managed to score on a 27-yard field goal from Jeff Reed on the final play of the half and Reed added a 42-yarder late in the third period.

The Steelers, however, could manage only 216 yards of offense. Pittsburgh quarterback Ben Roethlisberger completed 18-of-31 passes for 201 yards and was sacked eight times.

Cleveland (2-11) won for the first time since a 6-3 decision at Buffalo on Oct. 11.

Pittsburgh fell to 6-7 and trails Jacksonville by 2 1/2 games in the race for the last of the AFC wild-card playoff berths.

Twelve teams have won the Super Bowl and failed to make the playoffs the next season. It has happened to Pittsburgh twice, most recently three years ago.
