NHL: Toronto 3, N.Y. Islanders 2

TORONTO, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Jason Blake scored the game-winning goal Wednesday, leading the Toronto Maple Leafs to a 3-2 win over the New York Islanders.

Blake's fifth goal this season broke a 2-2 tie at 15:55 of the third period on an assist by Mikhail Grabovski.

Vesa Toskala made 30 saves on 32 shots for the Maple Leafs, who have won four of five.

John Tavares scored twice on the power play in the second period, while net-minder Dwayne Roloson gave up three goals on 35 shots for the Islanders, who lost the final three contests on their five-game road trip.

Tavares has scored the four goals for the Islanders in their last two games.

On the power play, New York went 1-for-4, and Toronto went 1-for-5.
