Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Dec. 9 (UPI) -- Mikki Moore made six points during a game-ending 11-2 run Wednesday, boosting Golden State to a 105-89 victory over New Jersey.
The Warriors ended a four-game losing streak and the Nets remained stuck on just two wins all season -- fewest in the NBA. New Jersey became the first team in the league to lose 20 games.
Golden State held New Jersey to two points over the final 5:30.
Monta Ellis and CJ Watson each scored 18 for the Warriors and Moore had 16 to go with seven rebounds. Only eight Golden State players saw action.
The Nets were led by Brook Lopez with 21 points.
Golden State is missing Coach Don Nelson on its current five-game road trip. Nelson is recovering from pneumonia.
