NHL: Phoenix 2, Minnesota 0

PHOENIX, Dec. 8 (UPI) -- A 28-save performance by Ilya Bryzgalov highlighted the Phoenix Coyotes' fifth straight victory Monday, a 2-0 decision over the Minnesota Wild.

Bryzgalov leads NHL goalies with four shutouts this season. He has 12 in his career.

Scottie Upshall and Taylor Pyatt scored for the Coyotes -- the goals coming less than a minute apart in the second period.

Niklas Backstrom blocked 29 shots for Minnesota, which had won its previous five games.
