NHL: Phoenix 3, Ottawa 2

GLENDALE, Ariz., Dec. 6 (UPI) -- The Phoenix Coyotes beat Ottawa 3-2 on a deciding goal by Petr Prucha for their first win over the Senators since 2002.

Prucha put Phoenix ahead 3-0 midway through the second period with a chip shot over the shoulder of Ottawa goaltender Brian Elliott.

Ed Jovanovski and Taylor Pyatt also scored for the Coyotes, who won their fourth consecutive game. Ilya Bryzgalov stopped 26-of-28 shots.

Chris Kelly and Jesse Winchester scored for the Senators, who have lost seven consecutive games on the road. Elliott made 22 saves.

Ottawa rallied for two goals late in the third period to pull to within one. Kelly scored with 3:19 to play and Winchester scored his first NHL goal with 46 seconds to play.
