
SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Miika Kiprusoff made 35 saves to lead Calgary to a 2-1 win over the San Jose Sharks Saturday in a matchup of two Western Division conference leaders.
Olli Jokinen and Daymond Langkow provided the goals for the Northwest-leading Flames, who have won five of their last six games.
Langkow's one-timer at 3:36 of the third period turned out to be the decisive goal for Calgary.
The Sharks, who lead the Pacific, got their lone goal from Ryane Clowe. Evgeni Nabokov allowed two goals on 36 shots.
The two goalies combined for 21 saves in the scoreless first period.
Clowe gave San Jose a 1-0 lead at 4:28 of the second period with his seventh goal of the season. Calgary answered six minutes later on Jokinen's game-tying goal.
