MINNEAPOLIS, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Kevin Love had a double-double in his second game of the season Saturday to help Minnesota upend the Utah Jazz 108-101.
Love missed the start of the season with a fractured hand, but was in fine form Saturday with 18 points and 10 rebounds in the Timberwolves' third win of the season.
Ryan Gomes led the Timberwolves with 23 points. Jonny Flynn scored 16 and Al Jefferson scored 15 and had 11 rebounds.
Utah, which saw its four-game winning streak snuffed out, was led by Carlos Boozer with 21 points. Deron Williams scored 11 points and recorded 11 assists.
Gomes scored seven points during a key 14-6 run early in the fourth quarter that put Minnesota ahead 87-79.
Utah pulled to within four with 3:46 to play, but Jefferson and Flynn scored on the next two possessions and the Timberwolves hit 5-of-6 free throws in the closing seconds to keep the Jazz at bay.
