NBA: Detroit 98, Washington 94

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Dec. 6 (UPI) -- Will Bynum sank 7-of-8 free throws in the fourth period Sunday to lead the Detroit Pistons to a 98-94 win over the Washington Wizards.

His free throw shooting capped a 16-point performance.

The Wizards tied the contest 61-61 on a basket by Andray Blatche with 4:33 left in the third period and trailed 85-84 with 3:48 left on Brendan Haywood's layup.

Rodney Stuckey's 25 points and four rebounds paced Detroit.

Charlie Villanueva scored 18 with four rebounds and five assists, and Jonas Jerebko added 10 points and 11 rebounds for the Pistons, who have won three of four.

Caron Butler's 20 points with 10 rebounds led Washington.

Earl Boykins scored 18 with four assists, Antawn Jamison scored 13 points and Randy Foye 12, while Gilbert Arenas had eight points, six rebounds and nine assists in the Wizards' second straight loss.
