AUSTIN, Texas, Dec. 4 (UPI) -- Damion James scored 19 points Thursday and helped No. 2 Texas pull away late for a 69-50 decision over Southern California.

The Longhorns had only a three-point lead midway through the second half before dominating down the stretch. They improved to 6-0, having won all their games by at least 10 points.

James also had nine rebounds while Dexter Pittman scored 13 points and blocked seven shots.

USC (2-3) was led by Nikola Vucevic with 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Texas went on an 8-0 run to break open the game -- six of the points coming from the foul line. The Trojans shot just 30 percent from the field and made only 1-of-10 from 3-point range.
