

ATLANTA, Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Matt Moulson's hat trick Thursday led the New York Islanders to a 4-1 win at Atlanta.
Moulson scored the first of his three goals at 1:47 of the second period, breaking a 1-1 tie.
He added a second goal (power play) at 15:46 of the second and third at 13:09 of the third.
John Tavares (empty net) scored once, Kyle Okposo and Trent Hunter had two assists apiece, while net-minder Dwayne Roloson made 26 saves on 27 shots for the Islanders, who have won three of five.
Slava Kozlov scored Atlanta's only goal at 9:01 of the first period.
Goalie Ondrej Pavelec was beaten three times on 26 shots for the Thrashers, whose four-game winning streak ended in the third loss in their last four home games against the Islanders.
On the power play, New York went 1-for-3 and Atlanta was 0-for-2.
