Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Dec. 3 (UPI) -- Jerry Smith scored 17 points Wednesday and No. 20 Louisville defeated Stetson 80-48.
The Cardinals (5-1) bounced back from their first loss of the season -- which came Saturday at the hands of Nevada-Las Vegas.
Louisville was not threatened against Stetson, with Samardo Samuels and Edgar Sosa each scoring 15 points. Sosa made all three of his 3-point tries.
Stetson was led by A.J. Smith with 18.
The Cardinals started on a 14-2 run 7 minutes into the contest and coasted to a 37-21 advantage at intermission. Louisville shot 61 percent from the field and made half its 14 3-point attempts.
