Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 29 (UPI) -- Brett Favre threw three first-half touchdown passes Sunday and the Minnesota Vikings went on to bury the Chicago Bears 36-10.
Favre finished with 32 completions in 48 attempts for 392 yards. His scoring throws were for 15 yards to Percy Harvin, 10 yards to Chester Taylor and 6 yards to Visanthe Shiancoe.
Adrian Peterson ran 5 yards for a score and Ryan Longwell kicked field goals of 52, 37 and 20 yards for the Vikings (10-1).
Peterson rushed for 85 yards and Harvin had six catches for 101 yards.
Jay Cutler completed 18-of-23 passes for 147 yards, including a 24-yard touchdown pass to Johnny Knox, for the Bears (4-7).
Chicago has lost four straight contests.
