PHOENIX, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Jason Richardson scored 22 points Friday and Phoenix took control in the second period on its way to a 120-95 blasting of Minnesota.

The Timberwolves lost their 15th straight game and, at 1-15, are off to their worst start ever through 16 contests. The longest losing streak in franchise history is 16 and Minnesota will equal that if it falls to Denver Sunday.

Grant Hill added 17 points for the Suns, owners of the NBA's best record at 13-3. Phoenix shot 59.3 percent from the field.

Ramon Sessions had 23 points for Minnesota and Al Jefferson scored 20.

Phoenix ran off nine straight points late in the second period and held a 60-39 advantage at intermission.
