LAS VEGAS, Nov. 28 (UPI) -- Oscar Belfield and Tre'Von Willis combined for 33 points Saturday, pacing the undefeated UNLV Rebels to a 76-71 upset of No. 16 Louisville.
Belfield had 17 points and Willis contributed 16, along with nine assists and six rebounds. Darris Santee added 13 points and five rebounds as UNLV improved to 5-0.
The 4-1 Cardinals got 18 points from Edgar Sosa, 13 from Samardo Samuels, and 10 points and 11 rebounds from Rakeem Buckles.
After trailing 56-38 12:02, Louisville pulled into a 62-62 tie with 5:29 left when Sosa hit a shot from long range. But the Cardinals' rally stalled and the Rebels ran their lead back up to 72-66 with 1:59 to go on a pair of Santee free throws and Buckles iced it by making it an eight-point game from the free-throw line with 30 seconds remaining.
