NHL: Calgary 2, Phoenix 1

CALGARY, Alberta, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Nigel Dawes scored with 5:44 to play in the third period Wednesday, lifting the Calgary Flames to a 2-1 victory over Phoenix.

Miikka Kiprusoff allowed only a third-period power-play goal and made 27 saves in helping the Flames win for the second time in three games.

Keith Yandle scored midway through the third to boost Phoenix into a tie but Calgary won it when Dawes received a backhand pass from David Moss and slammed it past Ilya Bryzgalov.

Daymond Langkow, who also assisted on the Dawes goal, gave the Flames a 1-0 lead late in the second period.
