NBA: Orlando 93, Atlanta 76

ATLANTA, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Dwight Carter and Vince Howard paced a second-half comeback Thursday that brought the Orlando Magic a 93-76 victory over Atlanta.

After winning seven games in a row, the Hawks lost their second straight and saw Orlando jump ahead of them for a half-game lead in the Southeast Division.

Atlanta owned a 12-point halftime lead but Orlando limited the Hawks to 14 points in the third quarter and pulled away over the final period. The Magic outscored Atlanta during the second half 54-25.

Howard scored 22 points and Carter had 21.

Orlando limited the Hawks to just 38 percent shooting from the field and Atlanta attempted a mere seven foul shots, making three.

Until losing their last two games, the Hawks had dropped just two contests all season.

Joe Johnson led the Hawks with 22 points.
