NEWARK, N.J., Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Martin Brodeur made 24 saves on 25 shots Wednesday, paving the way for the New Jersey Devils' 3-1 win over the Ottawa Senators.
The NHL's all-time leader in career victories allowed Milan Michalek's 11th goal this season, tying the score 1-1 at 12:34 of the second period, then got help from strong defensive play by his teammates the rest of the way.
Niclas Bergfors, Patrik Elias and Jamie Langenbrunner (empty net) all scored goals, while Andy Greene had two assists for the Devils, who stopped a three-game losing streak.
New Jersey's Zach Parise had an assist to extend his points streak to eight games.
Net-minder Brian Elliott gave up two goals on 20 shots for the Senators, whose four-game winning streak ended.
Elliott played in place of the injured Pascal Leclaire, who will miss at least the next month with a fractured cheekbone.
