Nik Antropov and Slava Kozlov scored the goals for Atlanta, which pulled even with Tampa Bay for second place behind Washington in the Southeast Division.

Jimmy Howard gave up both Atlanta goals on 25 shots.

Pavelec made 19 saves in the opening period, which ended with Atlanta owning a 1-0 lead.

Detroit had not been shut out at home since March 27 of last season. The Red Wings have scored just six goals in their last five games after producing 19 in the three contests before that.
