WASHINGTON, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Antawn Jamison scored a season-high 32 points Tuesday as the Washington Wizards overcame the death of owner Abe Pollin to beat Philadelphia 108-107.

Nick Young contributed 20 points and Gilbert Arenas added 17 and dished off eight assists as the Wizards won for only the second time in their last 10 games in the hours following news of Pollin's death. Washington turned back a late charge by the 76ers.

Philadelphia's Lou Williams led the comeback, scoring 10 of his 26 points in the final 3:13 of the game, but the Sixers fell short.

Thaddeus Young scored 23 points for Philadelphia.

Pollin bought the Baltimore Bullets (later the Washington Bullets and then Wizards) in 1964 and in the subsequent years established himself as a Washington sports pioneer by also taking ownership of the NHL's Capitals and WNBA's Mystics.

Pollin, 85, was the NBA's longest-tenured owner.
