NHL: Edmonton 4, Phoenix 0

EDMONTON, Alberta, Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Edmonton goaltender Jeff Deslauriers turned in the first shutout of his NHL career Monday, stopping 36 shots in a 4-0 Oilers win over the Phoenix Coyotes.

Ethan Moreau, Sheldon Souray and Ales Hemsky got first-period goals for the Oilers and Shawn Horcoff wrapped up the scoring in the second.

Lubomir Visnovsky assisted on two goals for Edmonton, which had lost five of its six previous games.

Ilya Bryzgalov was credited with 21 saves for the Coyotes.
