Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 23 (UPI) -- Samardo Samuels led No. 16 Louisville with 16 points and the Cardinals remained unbeaten Monday with an 80-53 romp over Appalachian State.
Preston Knowles and Edgar Sosa each scored 11 points and Jared Swopshire had 10 for Louisville (4-0).
The Cardinals led by nine points at the half and pulled away in the second half, starting with an 8-2 run.
Donald Sims scored 19 points for the Mountaineers (2-3).
