Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MINNEAPOLIS, Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Brett Favre threw four touchdown passes and the Minnesota Vikings ran their record to 9-1 Sunday with a 35-9 blowout of the Seattle Seahawks.
Favre played just three quarters and completed 22-of-25 passes for 213 yards. He sent the Vikings ahead 28-0 with touchdown tosses of 23 yards to Percy Harvin, 8 yards to Visanthe Shiancoe, 3 yards to Bernard Berrian and 7 yards to Sidney Rice.
Minnesota wrapped up its scoring with a 34-yard pass from Tarvaris Jackson to Rice.
Matt Hasselbeck was 19-of-26 passing for 231 yards and an interception for Seattle (3-7), which scored on a 1-yard run by Justin Forsett and a 40-yard Olindo Mare field goal.
