
LOUISVILLE, Ky., Nov. 22 (UPI) -- Edgar Sosa's 16 points and three steals Saturday led No. 22 Louisville to a 69-56 win over East Tennessee State.
Louisville led 37-21 at halftime and built the lead to 46-25 on Jerry Smith's layup with 15:14 left.
Samardo Samuels had 14 points, 11 rebounds and three blocked shots.
Preston Knowles scored nine and had five rebounds for the Cardinals (2-0), who won despite sinking only 6-of-30 3-point shots, but blocked nine shots and forced 20 turnovers.
Justin Tubbs led ETSU with 18 points and seven rebounds.
Micah Williams, the only other player in double figures, scored 12 points, and Tommy Hubbard had nine points, nine rebounds and four steals for the Buccaneers (1-3), who have lost three in a row since a season-opening 62-58 victory on Nov. 14 over Appalachian State.
