CHESTNUT HILL, Mass., Nov. 21 (UPI) -- North Carolina scored twice on turnovers Saturday on the way to a 31-13 ACC rout of Boston College.

Ryan Houston scored on a 1-yard run, Cam Thomas scored on a 20-yard fumble return and Kendric Burney scored on a 30-yard interception return, leading 25th-ranked UNC to a 21-3 first-quarter advantage.

In all, the defense forced six turnovers.

Houston scored twice on just 45 yards on 18 carries.

Quarterback T.J. Yates overcame three interceptions with 182 passing yards. Greg Little caught seven passes for 69 yards.

Casey Barth added a 29-yard, fourth-quarter field goal for the Tar Heels (8-3, 4-3 ACC), who have won four in a row and five of six.

Boston College quarterback Dave Shinskie was intercepted four times. He passed for 101 yards and one touchdown.

Montel Harris had 132 rushing yards for the Eagles (7-4, 4-3), who have split their last six games.
