
OXFORD, Miss., Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Dexter McCluster rushed for 148 yards and also threw a touchdown pass Saturday, leading Mississippi to a 25-23 win over 10th-ranked LSU.
The Rebels went ahead, 25-17, on Joshua Shene's fourth field goal with 3:42 remaining, then survived LSU's late comeback attempt.
Jevan Snead passed for 206 yards.
Shay Hodge caught seven passes for 117 yards, scoring on McCluster's 27-yard pass with 13:33 left, erasing LSU's 17-15 lead.
Markeith Summers had 90 yards on three receptions, while Joshua Shene kicked two field goals for the Rebels (8-3, 4-3 SEC), who have won three in a row.
Jordan Jefferson passed for 250 yards, two touchdowns and one interception, but came up short during a late comeback effort.
Terrance Toliver caught five passes for 107 yards, and Rueben Randle caught two scoring passes for the Tigers (8-3, 4-3), who have lost two of three.
