COL BKB: Ohio State 76, California 70

NEW YORK, Nov. 20 (UPI) -- Evan Turner had 26 points and 14 rebounds Friday, pacing 15th-ranked Ohio State to a 76-70 win over No. 12 California.

The victory came in the consolation game of the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Coaches vs. Cancer at New York's Madison Square Garden.

OSU led 38-25 at the half, then started the second with a 14-0 run before Cal could recover.

Jon Diebler scored 14 points, William Buford 12 with five assists and David Lighty 11 with six rebounds and three of seven steals. Turner added six assists for the Buckeyes (3-1), who bounced back from a 77-73 loss to fourth-ranked North Carolina Thursday.

Cal's Jerome Randle had 26 points and three assists.

Patrick Christopher scored 12 with three rebounds and four assists.

Omondi Amoke had 11 points and 15 rebounds, and Jamal Boykin added 11 points for the Bears (2-2).
