HOMESTEAD, Fla., Nov. 19 (UPI) -- Matt Kenseth, the 2009 Daytona 500 winner, runs his last race Sunday for DeWart Power Tools at Sunday's Sprint Cup Ford 400 at Homestead, Fla.

DeWalt decided in July to discontinue its sponsorship of the Cambridge, Wis., native because of the economic decline in the construction industry.

Kenseth, NASCAR's 2000 Rookie of the Year, also will drive in Saturday's Nationwide 300 at Homestead.

"The racing is really exciting there," Kenseth said in a release this week about driving at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. "It's a fun track. I think the racing there is as good as anywhere now."

Kenseth began the 2009 season with back-to-back wins at Daytona and the Auto Club 500 in Fontana, Calif., has 18 Sprint Cup race victories, and has qualified for the "Race for the Chase," the battle for the points championship, every year since its inception in 2004.

He starts Sunday's race out of the 2009 Chase, 2,227 points behind leader Jimmie Johnson.
