NHL: Columbus 3, Edmonton 2 (SO)

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- A goal by Jakub Voracek in the fourth round of a shootout Monday lifted the Columbus Blue Jackets to a 3-2 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

Voracek fired a wrist shot inside the right post and Columbus goalie Mathieu Garon then secured the win by stopping a shot by Gilbert Brule.

Anton Stralman and Antoine Vermette got the other goals for the Blue Jackets.

Ales Hemsky and Lubomir Visnovsky scored for the Oilers.

Garon finished with 23 saves and Edmonton goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin had 30. Each made three stops in overtime, setting up the shootout.
