Jonathan Quick stopped 28 of 29 shots in the contest. Tampa Bay's Antero Niittymaki had 29 saves on 30 shots.

Doughty's goal at 7:20 of the third period was the game's first goal. The Lightning responded with 8:21 left in regulation with a goal by Ryan Malone that tied the score 1-1 and forced the overtime.
