
CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Jake Delhomme passed for two touchdowns and Jonathan Stewart ran for two Sunday, carrying the Carolina Panthers past the Atlanta Falcons 28-19.
Delhomme completed 15-of-24 passes for 195 yards, including two 4-yard TD passes to Steve Smith.
Stewart scored early from 1 yard out and ran 45 yards for a touchdown with just over 2 minutes left in the game.
DeAngelo Williams carried 19 times for 92 yards for the Panthers (4-5).
Atlanta's Matt Ryan was 22-of-41 passing for 224 yards and a touchdown, with two interceptions.
Ryan's scoring toss was a 1-yarder to Justin Peelle and Jason Snelling ran 1 yard for a touchdown for Atlanta (5-4), which has lost three of its last four games.
The Falcons' Michael Turner left the contest with a sprained ankle in the second quarter after racking up 111 yards on nine carries.
