PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Power-play goals by Paul Gaustad and Thomas Vanek lifted the Buffalo Sabers past the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 Saturday.

Rookie Tyler Ennis scored the other goal for the Sabers, who won their third consecutive game.

Ennis, who appeared in his first NHL game Saturday, staked Buffalo to a 2-0 lead that stood up with Ryan Miller making 29 saves in goal.

Chris Pronger and Jeff Carter scored for Philadelphia and Ray Emery allowed three goals on 25 shots.

Gaustad scored what proved to be the winner at 6:25 of the third period, less than four minutes after Pronger had gotten the Flyers on the board with a wrister from the right point at 2:43 of the third period.

Vanek's goal gave Buffalo a 1-0 lead at the end of one period. It was only the third time this season the Flyers coughed up the first goal of a game.
