LAWRENCE, Kan., Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Guard Xavier Henry, playing his first game in a Kansas uniform, scored 27 points Friday to lead the top-ranked Jayhawks to a 101-65 blasting of Hofstra.

Kansas extended the nation's longest home-court winning streak to 42 games.

Henry made 8-of-12 shots from the field and all six of his foul shots to begin his freshman season. Sherron Collins added 23 points and Cole Aldrich had 11 points, eight rebounds and four blocks.

The Jayhawks will be trying to win their sixth straight Big 12 Conference title this season and will be favored to do so since they return their top nine scorers and all five starters.

They went 27-8 last season and lost in the third round of the NCAA Tournament to eventual runner-up Michigan State.

Charles Jenkins scored 23 points to lead Hofstra, which is coming off a 21-11 campaign.
