BOSTON, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Cory Stillman's goal in the fourth round of a shootout Thursday boosted the Florida Panthers to a hard-fought 1-0 win over the Boston Bruins.

After the contest went scoreless though regulation and overtime, Stillman skated toward the net, made a quick move to the right, and then fired a backhand shot past Tim Thomas.

Florida's Tomas Vokoun made a spectacular glove save on a shot by Michael Ryder in the final round before Stillman's game-winner.

Vokoun recorded his third shutout in 2009 by making 40 saves on 40 shots in regulation for the Panthers, who broke a two-game skid.

Thomas was credited with his third shutout this season with 23 saves on 23 shots in regulation for the Bruins, who went 2-0-2 on their four-game home stand.

Both teams were 0-for-3 on the power play.
