ST. LOUIS, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- David Perron scored a hat trick and the St. Louis Blues broke a five-game losing streak Tuesday with a 6-1 win over Vancouver.

Perron's first career three-goal performance began only 5:42 into game when he tipped in a shot by Brad Boyes shot from the left side, and St. Louis never looked back. Boyes also notched a goal and recorded two other assists while Andy McDonald and Erik Johnson each tallied for the Blues.

Chris Mason stopped Vancouver in the nets, making 22 saves on 23 shots.

Roberto Luongo, returning from an injury, played for the first time since Oct. 28. Luongo replaced a shell shocked Andrew Raycroft, who allowed four goals on 13 shots before being benched after one period.
