HOUSTON, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Luis Scola made 60 percent of his shots Wednesday, scored 22 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in leading Houston to a 104-79 mauling of Memphis.
The Rockets dominated the second half in handing the Grizzlies their seventh straight loss.
Carl Landry contributed 20 points and Trevor Ariza had 17 for the Rockets, who held Memphis to 39 percent shooting from the field.
O.J. Mayo scored 19 for the Grizzlies and Rudy Gay and Zach Randolph had 18 each. Hasheem Thabeet, selected by Memphis with the second pick in this year's draft, sat out the game with a fractured jaw.
Houston had a 43-38 halftime lead and ran off 11 straight points in the third period to take control. The Rockets led by as many as 27.
