Police again unable to interview Woods
Wednesday, November 25
NEWARK, N.J., Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Political analysts say former Philadelphia Eagles lineman Jon Runyan is on the short list of Republican candidates for Congress in New Jersey.
The (Newark) New Jersey Star-Ledger said Wednesday that the Mount Laurel, N.J., resident has been approached about challenging Rep. John Adler, D-N.J., next year.
Although Runyan hasn't made any decisions, the newspaper noted that another leading contender for the nomination, state Sen. Diane Allen, recently announced she had cancer and probably will not run.
There are a bevy of other state and local politicians eyeing Adler's seat.
Runyan lost his spot on the Eagles roster following knee surgery after the 2008 season.
