CHARLOTTE, N.C., Nov. 10 (UPI) -- Dwight Howard poured in 15 points and Brendon Bass scored 12 of his 14 points in the first quarter, keying the Magic's 93-81 win over Charlotte Tuesday.
Vince Carter, back in the lineup after missing three games with a sprained ankle, chipped in 15 points off the bench as the Magic bounced back with a victory after a lopsided loss Sunday at Oklahoma City.
Bass's hot first quarter allowed Orlando to build a 35-23 lead at the end of the period, and the Magic pushed the lead to 22 at 57-35 when Howard's lay-up with 6 minutes to go before halftime.
Charlotte's Raymond Felton led all scorers with 18 points. Gerald Wallace dropped in 13 points and grabbed nine rebounds for the Bobcats, who suffered their first home loss of the season.
