NHL: Chicago 4, Los Angeles 1

CHICAGO, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Troy Brouwer tipped in a goal to send Chicago ahead in the third period Monday and the Blackhawks went on to down the Los Angeles Kings 4-1.

John Madden, Jonathan Toews and Andrew Ebbett scored the other goals for the Blackhawks and Brouwer contributed two assists.

Brouwer scored the go-ahead goal, breaking a 1-1 tie, early in the third with assists from Patrick Sharp and Duncan Keith.

Anze Kopitar got the Los Angeles goal.

Chicago's Cristobal Huet made 17 saves and Jonathan Quick had 25 for the Kings.
