COL BKB: Ohio State 100, Alcorn State 60

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Nov. 9 (UPI) -- Jon Diebler's 22 points led No. 17 Ohio State to a 100-60 season-opening victory Monday over Alcorn State in the 2K Sports Coaches vs. Cancer Classic.

The Buckeyes (1-0) started the runaway with a 16-point surge and owned a 41-15 lead by halftime.

William Buford scored 19 points, Evan Turner had a triple-double of 14 points, 17 rebounds and 10 assists and Jeremie Simmons scored 12 points for Ohio State.

Jonathan Boyd tallied 20 points and Tony Eackles had 14 for the Braves (0-1).
