NHL: Calgary 3, New York 1

CALGARY, Alberta, Nov. 8 (UPI) -- Ex-Ranger Nigel Dawes assisted on all three Calgary goals as the Flames downed New York 3-1 Saturday.

Dawes played for the Rangers for the past three seasons, but now is a Flame and was instrumental as Calgary defeated New York at the Pengrowth Saddledome for the 17th time in 19 visits. Daymond Langkow notched a goal and an assist in the Flames' win, their third straight.

Dawes also assisted on goals by Jarome Iginla and Rene Bourque, while Miikka Kiprusoff made the goals stand up by making 32 stops in the win.

The Rangers got their only goal from Dan Girardi.

Iginla's wrister was the only second-period goal, coming at 16:47 and sending the Flames into the third period with a lead they would not relinquish.
