MIAMI, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- Dwayne Wade scored 22 points and Jermaine O'Neal had 18 Friday in Miami's 96-88 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
Miami had five players in double figures, which trumped Carmelo Anthony's 30-point performance for the visiting Nuggets.
Arron Afflalo came off the bench to score 18 for Denver, which lost for the first time this season.
The Heat took a 50-38 lead into the half, thanks to a 17-5 run in the second quarter that started with an O'Neal jump shot and ended with a 3-pointer by Mario Chalmers, who scored 16.
Chalmers hit another 3-pointer in a spurt at the start of the third quarter that increased Miami's lead to 19 points.
The Nuggets out-scored the Heat 32-18 in the fourth quarter but could get no closer than eight points.
