BALI, Indonesia, Nov. 7 (UPI) -- French players Marion Bartoli and Aravane Rezai each had straight-set wins Saturday and advanced to the finals of the Tournament of Champions in Indonesia.
Both players are 3-0 on the week, meaning the winner of Sunday's match will take home $200,000. Bartoli has won both previous WTA meetings with Rezai.
Bartoli, the tournament's No. 1 seed, hasn't dropped a set this week and dominated her semifinal Saturday against Kimiko Date Krumm, winning 6-1, 6-3. She recorded six breaks over eight Date Krumm service games.
Bartoli's own serve was broken twice but she lost only 10 points on serve outside of those games. She won eight consecutive games at one point.
The 10th-seeded Rezai needed just 64 minutes to dispatch Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez 6-2, 6-3. She lost a mere seven points over eight service games and took half the points when Martinez Sanchez served.
Bartoli, who has two titles this year, will be in her fourth finals of 2009 and a win Sunday would return her to the WTA Top 10 for the first time since June 2008. Rezai won the tournament at Strasbourg, France, last May to qualify for the Tournament of Champions and is looking for her second WTA title.
