ARCADIA, Calif., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Tapitsfly came flying down the stretch Friday, winning the $1 million Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf by a half-length over pace-setting Rose Catherine.

Tapitsfly, with Robby Albarado up, tracked the early pace set by Rose Catherine from the start. On the turn for home in the 1-mile event, she came to even terms and edged past in the final yards for the narrow win. House of Grace was third and the favorite, European shipper Lillie Langtry, never challenged at any point.

Tapitsfly, a Kentucky-bred daughter of Tapit, finished in 1:34.25 over firm turf. Dale Romans trains the filly, who now has three wins from seven starts. She previously raced in Kentucky and New York, and Friday's effort was only her second on grass.
