ORLANDO, Fla., Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Dwight Howard's 22 points and 12 rebounds Friday fueled the Orlando Magic's 110-103 win over the Detroit Pistons.
The 6-foot-11 center, a former NBA dunk champion, also landed in Orlando's record book with two blocked shots, making him the franchise's all-time leader in that category with 824 in four NBA seasons.
Matt Barnes contributed 18 points, Jameer Nelson 18, J.J. Redick 16 and Brandon Bass 13 for the Magic, who have won five of their first six games.
Charlie Villanueva led Detroit with 28 points and five rebounds.
Rodney Stuckey scored 20, followed by Ben Gordon with 19 and Austin Daye with 11 for the Pistons, have lost two in a row and four of five.
