OTTAWA, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Jason Spezza scored on a slapshot with 43 seconds left in overtime Thursday, boosting the Ottawa Senators to a 3-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Daniel Alfredsson and Mike Fisher notched Ottawa's goals in regulation and Spezza assisted on both of them.

Officials disallowed two apparent Senators' goals in the third period because of penalties.

Steven Stamkos and Alex Tanguay scored for Tampa Bay.

Pascal Leclaire stopped 18 shots for Ottawa and Antero Niittymaki had 26 saves for the Lightning.
