NBA: New Orleans 114, Dallas 107 (OT)

NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Chris Paul scored 39 points for the New Orleans Hornets Wednesday in a 114-107 overtime win over the Dallas Mavericks.

The Hornets took charge in the extra session, with David West and Bobby Brown combining on a seven-point run.

West finished with 25 points and Brown had 18.

Jason Terry poured in 35 points off the bench for the Mavs. Erick Dampier added 16 points and Dirk Nowitzki scored 12.
