NEW YORK, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Minnesota Vikings quarterback Brett Favre is the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after throwing four touchdown passes against his former team, Green Bay.

Favre, playing at Lambeau Field for the first time since he left the Packers after the 2007 season, completed 17-of-28 passes for 244 yards, equaling former Miami Dolphins great Dan Marino's NFL record of 21 games with four touchdown pass.

Carolina Panthers defensive end Julius Peppers was Defensive Player of the Week and St. Louis Rams kicker Josh Brown was the award for special teams.

Peppers scored on a 13-yard second-quarter interception return and also had a sack and a forced fumble in Carolina's 34-21 win at Arizona.

Brown kicked a 41-yard field goal and two extra points, and threw a 36-yard touchdown pass on a fake field goal, leading the Rams to a 17-10 win at Detroit.
