NHL: Los Angeles 5, Phoenix 3

GLENDALE, Ariz., Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Ryan Smyth scored twice and Drew Doughty got the go-ahead goal for the Los Angeles Kings Monday in a 5-3 comeback win against the Phoenix Coyotes.

The Kings trailed 3-1 before catching up in the third period. Doughty's goal, fired through traffic, put them ahead with just under 5 minutes to play.

Anze Kopitar and Justin Williams got the other two Los Angeles goals and Jonathan Quick stopped 13 shots.

Shane Doan, Martin Hanzal and Scottie Upshall scored for the Coyotes.

Phoenix goalie Jason LaBarbera blocked 22 shots.
